Boys' Golf lg X L-R: Frank Muniz, Jody Hawley, Tom Kelly, Brian Johnson, John McDonough, Eric Dutt, Tom Raabe, Mark Dutt, Brian Cruden, Hideshi Onaka, and Eric Miller. The Golf Team had an exciting and successful March 8 March 10 March 15 March 1 7 March 22 March 24 March 29 March 31 April 5 April 7 April 14 April 19 April 21 April 26 April 28 May 3 year. Returning from last years 8 wins, 3 losses, and 2 ties was Eric Dutt, the 1976 Nevada Champion. Also returning to the team was Mark Dutt and Tom Kelly to give Valley one of the best 1,2,3, combina- tions in the state. The success of the team also de- pended greatly on the freshman and sophomores who filled the other three remaining spots. Although we did not win the title this year, several players placed high in indi- vidual competition. Rita Agassi finished the regular season with a 44-0 record and went undefeated in tournament play to capture the State Singles Cham- pionship. The doubles team of Linda Lange and Kathy Hohl earned themselves a berth in state com- petition by capturing fourth palce in divisional play, Ms. Engen was the coach.

Coach Thompson felt that they had an excel- lent team this year. The Most Improved players were Donna Miller and Jeralyn Luetkehans, and Cheryl Caples was the Most Valuable, according to their coach.
