The For- um, sponsored by the Sun newspaper, was held so that students from all high schools in the district could dis- cuss topics relevant to today. Participants were chosen on the basis of knowledge and ability to verbalize their thoughts. Topics ranged from world problems to problems con- cerning the education system. At noon, students were dismissed for lunch courtesy of the Sun. After lunch, students returned to their groups and selected finalists to summarize the thoughts of their group. Finalists from Valley included Jeff Gottfredson, Marian Zorn, and Scott Tuchman. Many students attended the Forum who are not pictured. Honors 61
