The group planned a trip to California and has sold lunches at contests, candy bars, pa- tron ads, and have held aluminum can drives to raise money for their trips. The group has also put on play productions: The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Mari- golds and The Importance of Being Earnest. Af- ter returning from the con- ference, the students at- tend the drivers education classes and talk about what they learned during their driving lessons in Carson City. The District Attorney's Young Citizens Council was formed in 1971 for the purpose of increas- ing communication and understanding between youth and the authority structure. The District Attorney meets with the DAYCC members from each high school to get their var- ious oprnions on current issues. The members competed in five qualifying tourna- ments, Clark County Invitational Festival, and out of county meets. Students also strive to gain honors in the National Foren- sic League.
