The District Attorney's Young Citizens Council was formed in 1971 for the purpose of increas- ing communication and understanding between youth and the authority structure. The District Attorney meets with the DAYCC members from each high school to get their var- ious oprnions on current issues. The group planned a trip to California and has sold lunches at contests, candy bars, pa- tron ads, and have held aluminum can drives to raise money for their trips. The group has also put on play productions: The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Mari- golds and The Importance of Being Earnest.
