TABOR Superintendent of Public Schools Mr. Tabor, as the chief administrative officer in charge of the entire educational system, worked di- rectly under, and carries out the policies of, the Santa Ana Board of Education. Mr. Tabor works toward improvement of the schools by being intensely involved in the curriculum, budgetary matters, and personnel. N gf t ,IJ Q V 2 ,li 5 MR. MILTON SANDEN Director of ,L ' Secondary Education In charge of the school principals and directly respon- sible to Mr. Tabor, Mr. Sanden is the administrator through whom the important curriculum revision proposals and building 2, and equipment needs are communi- cated to the board of education. MR. HERBERT COVINGTON Guidance Co-Ordinator Truly the man behind Valley's guidance control panel is Mr. Covington. He co-ordinates the counseling and guidance pro- gram, arranges the master sched- ule and programming of all stu- dents, and supervises all testing programs. MR. JOSEPH STEWART Director of Student Activities Mr. Stewart is a man with responsibilities and a sphere of action all out of proportion to the small room he occupies. Mr. Stewart supervises the assemblies, athletic events, school activities, elections, and school government organizations. 8

RICHARD KIRWAN In addition to his specified duties as Vice-Principal, Mr. Kirwan advised the Banking and Finance Explorers and was the Valley Administration Representative to the Freeway A League. VIRGINIA CORRIGAN In conjunction with her designated duties as Vice-Principal, Mrs. Corrigan chaired the Inter-Club Council and had under her auspices the scholarship program.
