SANTA ANA VALLEY - CIF CHAMPIONS Endg Chuck McFarland, Al Botkin, Tackleg jim Defeating every opponent it faced in its third season of action, the Falcon Varsity won the Freeway League Title for the second consecutive year, and went on to take the CIF AAA crown. The fighting Falcons compiled the best season in the entire history of the California Interscholastic Federation to become the undisputed AAA champions of Southern California in only three years of competition. There were many highlights in the season that the team and Valley High School will never forget-our victory in the first-ever game with Santa Ana, the Falcons' defeat of Westminster by 26 points to cop the Freeway League Champion- ship, and the trip all the way to Santa Monica for 48 minutes of exciting, nerve- racking football to come home Champions. Our fast offense rewrote all league records, scoring 179 points during the season.
