i EVA NOBLE MIKE PEARCE ROBERT SHEETS E VVALKER Fine Arts Departmen Walk into the Fine Arts building any day of the school week and there is sure to be some form of joyful sound to greet you. This department encompasses orchestra, band, all manner of choruses, and arts and crafts. For the further interest of the students Music theory and Music History were also available. Poster work, lettering, portrait painting, sketching, and pop art, as the students reflect their world, were turned out 'artistically and in abundance. The band and choruses performed at assemblies, games, and concerts. The band was especially appreciated for its attendance and spirit at the ball games. 'I Mr. Sheets leads the Concert Choir in a morning practice.

Sportsmanship Learning to play new games and acquire new skills while developing physically fit bodies were all a part of the P.E. program. Girls' activities included swimming, tennis, field hockey, volleyball, gymnastics, track, and basketball. Softball, soccer, basketball, track, swimming, and tumbling were some of the boys' activities. Valley has excellent facilities for the varied P.E. program, directors Martha Eubank and Paul White plan their programs to put the available facilities to maximum use.
