Among the clulfs activities was a parent and son banquet held in February during FFA week. The boys also participated in a contest in Las Cruces during the first week in April. This contest included farm mechanics, crops, livestock, poultry, dairy, tractor driving, public speaking, and parliamentary procedure. The sponsor of the club is their teacher, Mr. Head. These three girls were very happy when they were chosen to represent the FFA. They are, left to right: Sharon Stevens, Georgia Zolman, Chapter Sweetheart, and Salli Plunkett. Prizes of ribbons and money were won by Tom Arundale, Don Radley, Ronnie Case, and Bill Van Cundy. One of the most talked about activities of the FFA was their annual Sweetheart Party held this year in November. The FFA elected as their sweetheart Georgia Zolman, who was presented with a sweetheart jacket. 3, film lu-1 One of FHA's yearly projects is the baby contest. For which a large amount of the money will go to the Warren A. Smart fund. FHA also hopes to set up a scholarship for one of the graduating seniors who plans to major in Home Economics. This year FHA has submitted a candidate for state secretary. the Candidate is Linda Abeyta. They have also elected a song leader for district 4 who is Sally Plunkett.
