i 0? :Xt the beginning of the year. the Student Council sponsored an orientation assembly for the sophomores. The Council's next project was the chartering: of all Valley Clubs. which had never been previously undertaken. :Xnother hfirsti' in activities was a leadership workshop which was held for the benefit of all students who held an office at Valley. Student Council staged a well organized Career Dax- which touched Off new sparks of interest for many of the students. Heading: the Student Council and directing these plans was an excep- tional group of officers. They are. left to right: Benny Butler. Vice-President: Ann Robertson. Secretary: Tom Lopez. President: and liinda Abeyta. Treasurer. tudent The traditional homecoming celelJration.,Vikingz Day. was a huge success and provided fun which will he long remembered. thanks to the Council. At Christmas time gifts were presented to the boys of Saint Anthony's Home. Each homeroom participated in these Christmas plans. and the school as a whole donated food and gifts for several needy families. Helping to co-ordinate the school and Council were the sponsors and several committees. Above is Mrs. Marie Hays and Mr. Ralpl. Dixon. the sponsors ot' Student Council.
