Spark Enthusiasm Valley Forge received a new injection of school spirit this year with the formation of the Block Club, Presided over by Donna Burke and Jane Kott, the club cheered at basketball games. Pale blue v-neck sweaters with Valley Forge insignia were worn by this group of high spirited girls, who sat and cheered together in block formation at all home and away games. Block club members watch as Donna Burke demonstrates a cheer. Happiness is reflected by members of the Block Club after Valley Forge makes a basket during the Parma game. l

Councils Puzzle On Current Problems 41? Modern American social problems pro- vide the basis for many interesting and informative meetings of the Human Rela- tions Council. The Council, under the direc- tion of president, Kurt Thornbladh, and adviser, Miss Lucille Shillat, participated in many projects, which include working with Working in conjunction with the driver education courses, the Valley Forge Youth Traffic Council is an organization which pro- mates traffic safety by working to inform students and faculty of the hazards and safe- guards of driving. In connection with the State Highway Patrol and the Cleveland Automobile Club, the Council provides infor- mation on traffic safety through movies, assemblies, and the maintenance of a safety bulletin board. The Council exchanged ideas with other interested students during discus- sions at John Carroll University and during the regional meeting in Columbus.
