Varied Projects Attract Y-Teens Cleveland Heights Tigers burn in effigy at the bonfire sponsored by Y-Teens. .wk ' X I Karl Holfstrom explains the basics of judo to the Xanthians at one of their meetings. Giggles and good times are only a small part of the Xanthian Y-Teen program. Under the direction of Miss Donna Buys and Miss Kathryn Shuck, the members worked to promote world fellowship. Striving to achieve high standards of character, the club participated in many service activities. Among these projects were: selling refreshments at the basketball games, collecting clothes for U.N.I.C.E.F., and assembling school bags for the children of Vietnam. The Christmas dance, a rollick- ing booth at the All-School party, an interclub discussion with the Hi-Y groups, and a delightful Mother-Daugh- ter Tea highlighted the year. XANTHIAN - Bottom Row: L. Key Club Serves The Community Serving the school and the community is the Key Club's purpose. The club has undertaken many worthwhile projects this year. They continued to assist a paralyzed girl in her exercises and cleaned the landscaped areas around the school. Their service to the community included participating in the United Appeal and Blood Mobile programs. For these and other contributions of service, the Ohio District Key Club recognized the Valley Forge Key Club as one of the top ten clubs in the state.
