To VF Business Students Learning to develop competent leadership and grasping office techniques were the goals of the Business Leaders of Valley Forge. Serving as advisers, Mrs. Chase, Mrs. Krueger and Mrs. Krempasky guided mem- bers in maintaining an efficient club and in making intelligent choices as to business occupations. Gary Toghill served as presi- dent of this organization which held a car- wash and a bake sale to boost their treasury. Their main services to our school included the operation of the typing pool and the supply store. Credit both on the job and in the class- room was given to students in DECA, the Distributive Education Club of America. Graded by their adviser Mr. Ronald Calabria and their employers members of this ex- ceptional group worked at various stores throughout the city and participated in many events, including the Northeastern Ohio Con- vention in Akron. To raise money for their New York trip the group sold mums at foot- ball games and candy during the holidays. Students in the Co-operative Education class received two credits for working both on the job and in the classroom. Advised and graded by Mr. David Straight and their employers, Co-operative Education students participated in business courses related to their jobs. Only seniors were allowed to enroll in this course. Students' activities included a booth at the All-School Party, a candy sale, and an after-game dance. COE-Bottom Row: B. Jacobi, treasurery N.
