Mrs. Ann Armbruster Mrs. Jean Tulloch Clerical Assistant Clerical Assistant Valley Forge students have found the library to be a valuable aid in their studies. The library staff, headed by Mrs. Thelma Knerr, strives to keep the library resources up-to-date and readily available to every stu- dent. Books as well as current pamphlets, newspapers, magazines, and college guides have helped inform the student body. Educational television was a new aspect of library service introduced this year. Via television, sophomores learned how to use the card catalog, the Readers' Guide and basic books of referenceg juniors were intro- duced to American literature resourcesg seniors benefited from lectures explaining English literature materials. History Classes Prompt Discussion Teaching aids and innovations are outstanding features of the Valley Forge History Department. Offering courses in American history, World history, current problems, economics, government, and sociology, this department is designed to provide a study in depth of the past and present. Using movies and lectures to enrich the students' knowledge, the Department effectively produces original thought and educated attitudes. Through knowledge of history and human behav- ior, the student can intelligently interpret the happenings of the present and aid in the betterment of the future.
