Directing and scheduling theiintramural pro- gram was the job of the Sportheads, who were helped by the Officials club. To become a Sporthead a girl must have an active interest in sports and a willingness to devote time to the intramural pro- gram. Sportheads' responsibilities included schedul- ing teams and tournaments, keeping all attendance records, and setting up the equipment for each sport. Mrs. Sue Beck, aided by Miss Barbara King, coordi- nated the intramural program and advised the Offi- cials and the Sportheads.

Cheerleaders anxiously await the next play. Varsity Pep, spirit, enthusiasm and skill describe Valley Forge cheerleaders. Cheering at athletic events and promoting school and team spirit are their main purposes. Aided by their advisers, Mrs. Wadd and Mrs. Hall, the girls spent many hours strengthening jumps and developing new routines. The president of the club is Suzie Arndtg vice-president, Sharon Kosterg secretary, Sue Schwang treasurer, Linda Zieglerg historian, Sharon Paoletta. The junior varsity captain is Cheryl Smith. These girls provided the spark that ignited Patriot enthusiasm. Sue Schwan screams for a Patriot victory against Cleveland Heights.
