Intramural competition at Valley Forge gives every boy the opportunity to actively participate in his favorite sports. Under the direction of Mr. Preis- ing, boys of each class and of varying abilities com- pete for recognition and trophies in a variety of activities. The intramural program includes: foot- ball, basketball, volleyball, skiing, track, and bowling. The competition is keen but the fun of participation is unlimited. The participant receives the satisfaction of winning a contest and the equally important experience of losing. The program stresses good sportsmanshipg therefore, the student develops mentally as well as physically. Intramurals provide the chance for the student to demonstrate his skills, proving that physical exertion can be fun as well as beneficial. On a button-hook, Bob Peters prepares to snatch the ball Dan Lanzdorf rushes to make the defensive play. Intramurals Offer Competition Greg Kapela jumps for two points. Seemingly enclosed by boundries and opponents, Larry Smeyak searches for a teammate.
