Marybeth Bogesch explains Anvil evaluation procedure to Carol Nelson. The Anvil is the Valley Forge literary magazine. It gives some of the students an opportunity to publish their writing. Every two weeks a nucleus of fifteen or twenty students led by the literary editor, Peter Renerts, evaluate short stories, essays, and poems. After consultation with Miss Crockett and Miss Viscomi, selections are made for publication in the Anvil. Art work for the magazine is done under the direction of Kurt Thornbladh, art editor. The business editor is Joyce Balint and the editor-in-chief is Marybeth Bogesch. The magazine is sold at the end of the year at production cost.
