SECOND ROW: Carol Cooper, literary editor, Marcia Duke, underclass editor, Sue Meeth, senior editor, Kim Johnson, headline- Helping to open the doors of the past year, the ARCHIVE staff Worked diligently to produce a book in which the entire student body could take pride. Under the super- vision of the adviser, Miss Suzanne Murphy, and the business adviser, Mrs. Katherine Szmagala, all staff members toiled to meet deadlines, write copy, plan pages, and sell the product, the ARCHIVE. Throughout the year Susie Schwartz, editor-in-chief, and Carol Cooper, literary editor, advised the staff and helped the section editors, Writers, photographers, and business staff plan a high quality book. The staffs Work and planning was finally acknowledged in May at the ARCHIVE banquet. At the cele- bration, they received their recognition, the completed ARCHIVE. captions editor Marcia Jones, faculty editor. R Each spring Valley Forge students look forward to reading the variety of stories, poems and essays which appear in the Anvil, the school literary magazine. The Anvil staff evaluated all material Which was print- ed in this year's edition. Editors were Lar- ecognition Through Quill and Scroll Staff aine Walkup, editor-in-chief, Candy Marr, art editor: Jesse Epstein, literary editorg and Carol Lohmann, business editor. Miss Judith Crockett and Miss Janice Viscomi were advisors. ANVIL STAFF-BOTTOM ROW: Horky, Stebelski Rhode, Ferencz, Lohmann, business editor, Walkup editor-in-chief: Marr, art editor: Epstein, literary editor? Balotta. SECOND ROW: Jones, Strimiska, Christman, Quill and Scroll is the international honor society for high school jour- nalists. Members enrolled into the society received a golden insignia and a one-year subscription to the clubis magazine. Valley Forge Was chartered into the Society on January 24, 1963.
