Keglers Mark Down a Strike for Victory The Valley Forge Bowling team, coached by Mr. Kuttler, bowled their games at Linsz Superior Bowling Lanes. They were spon- sored by The Cleveland Press, the Bowling Proprietor's Association, and the Coca Cola Company. Every four weeks the team had challenge matches among its players. TRACK TEAM BOTTOM ROW: Higgins, Patrick, Fitch, Varonek, Hoelter, Kispert, Slade, Taylor, Sandusky, Burhough, Truscello, Marinelli, Sency, Yurcheshen Meridian. SECOND ROW: Dornbrook, Hartman Dagnan, Steinfadt, Emmons, Hren, Revlock, Wisz, Sil- verman, Armstrong, Gibson, Ulman, Shorts, Varab- kanich. THIRD ROW: Speck, Mascul, Chanter, Early Cindermen Strive The 1963-1964 Valley Forge track team, composed of seventy-five boys, had an ex- cellent season. Defeating such teams as Parma, Shaw, and Shaker Heights, the team placed second in the Lake Erie League. They also took second place in the Berea Re- lays in which twenty-one teams participated and second in the Euclid Relays in which Pletka, Sturtevant, Taylor, Dietz, Flowers, Hill, Stead Pergl, Grady, Pogendorf, Kanezi. FOURTH ROW: Mar- tins, Calaway, Burgess, Barber, Heintel, Fackler, O'- Toole, Pedlock, Putz, Mlecik, Wydra, Lovelady, Swalley Fisher. FIFTH ROW: Pamer, Nye, Brueggers, Pigot Zaremba, Jankura, Bonk, Kunz, Schultz, Bloom, Phlas- uk, Kalina, Kasia, Moore. for LEL Crown ten teams partook. The one-mile relay team placed among the top ten in the state. The team was coached by Mr. Stan Parish, who was in charge of distance men: Mr. Joe Carlo, who was in charge of weight events, and Mr. Robert Ramlow who was in charge of sprinters and jumpers.
