SCHUOL SPIRIT BEFORE AND DUR G GAMES GIRLS BOOSTERS Karen Kozak, chairman of card sectiong Paulette Fenda, secretaryg Georganne Amon, treasurer, Judy Erikson, chairman of poster committeeg Sue Pecora, chairman of tag committeeg Judy Zulauf, president, Marcia Visen, chairman Promoting strong school spirit in all phases of student life was the main purpose of the Girls Boosters Club, supervised by Miss Sandra Kovach and Miss Lynne Grathwol. Membership was open to all interested girls. Among the group's many projects were the homecoming display, the production and distribution of pep tags, Valley Forge Patriot booster button sales, and a dance in January. The girls donated baskets of food to needy families at Thanks- giving and Christmas. The officers for the 1963-64- school year were Judy Zulauf, presidentg Cathy Chaffin and BarbaraGKent, vice-presidents, Paulette Fenda, secretary, and Georgeanne Amon, treasurer. of announcement committee, Marian Todor, chairman of program committeeg Linda Hicks, chairman of dance committee, Cathy Chaffin, second vice-president. NOT PICTURED: Barb Kent, first vice-president. Girls Boosters Donna Griesbach, Gwen Miller, Carol Bowker, and Judi Enkson, put up a poster urging the Patriots on to victory. 89

GIRLS AND BOYS BOOSTERS AROUSE BOYS BOOSTERS: ,lim Savarda, program chairmang Jim Bob Madey, financial directorg Dick Vacca, publicity chairmang Taylor, first vice-presidentg Dave Latanick, secretaryg Bill Niro, Wayne Zavotka, second vice-president. treasurer, Eric Kunz, presidentg Joe Dagata, project chairmang Boys' Boosters sell tickets to students during lunch periods. 88 The 1963-64' Boys Booster Club, advised by Mr. David Kaiser, performed many services for the stu- dents at Valley Forge High School. The boys char- tered the buses to all the away games during both football and basketball seasons. Also, the club sold the Patriot Sketch Book, a review and record of the 1962 football season. At the annual Dadls Night game, the Boys Boosters Club treated the players' fathers to coffee, doughnuts, and cigars. During the basket- ball season, the members of the club worked behind the concession stand selling popcorn, pop, and candy. Although this was the club's first operating year, it was successful with its many endeavors.

SECOND ROW: Debby Caves, Donna Sutak, Pat Frank- lin, Cathy Chaffin, Sue Meeth, Gail Kulcsar. THIRD ROW: Georganne Amon, Judy Zulauf, Jeannie Hulec, Gary Cumz, Melanie Radlick, SueAnn Pecora. The Queen's Dance and the benefit dance for CARE were two special projects of the Canteen Committee. This committee, advised by Mr. Donald Dinsmore, consisted of five mem- bers elected from each class with Gary Gumz as chairman, Patricia Offtermatt as assistant chairman, Marsha Pergler as secretary, and Cathy Chaffin as treasurer. The dances planned by the committee provided recreation for the student body, and the proceeds were used for a senior scholarship. Canteens provide a welcome change from the academic lives of students.
