This group started to work on routines the third week in August and continued to work to perfect them during the early school year. Marching ahead of the band with VF's colors waving high, was the enthusiastic Spirit of '76. THIRD ROW: Active participation was the key phrase of the 1963-64 A Cappella Choir. Led by Mr. John Elliott, vocal music director, this ninety-five member mixed choir was composed mainly of upperclassmen. Also, the group repre- sented Valley Forge in the Lake Erie League Choral Festival. Together with the rest of the music depart- ment, the choir held many social events, including a dance in February for the entire music department. si t . -.
