CLUBS - AN ACTIVE PART IN SCHOOL LIFE Members of the Thespian Society rehearse for their play, As You Like It. Student interests were represented by the various clubs at Valley Forge. Participation in club activities was an important part of school life for a majority of the student body. The wide range of organizations enabled everyone to choose a club suitable to his individual preferences. Thus, clubs reflected the diverse interests of VF students. The general purpose of clubs was to bring together all students sharing the same interests, to broaden their social experience, to create leaders, and to develop pride in the individual for both the club and the school. Club activities were not limited, however, to those in which only the members participated. Dances, candy sales, the bonfire before the Shaker football game, and the Spring Carnival were all club projects which involved the entire student body and helped to promote school spirit. The Future Nurses Club make Santa Clauses as a project to raise funds. Boosters serve their school by selling tickets for the athletic events
