JV FOOTB LL, BASKETB LL, AND WRESTLING The junior varsity football team, coached by Mr. Glenn Preising, Mr. Jerry Younger, and Mr. Louis Cangelosi, finished with an excellent record of six wins, one tie, and two losses to tie for first place in the Lake Erie League standings. The football team managed to further the winning streak of the previous JV team to ten games, but the string was broken when the Garfield Heights team defeated the JV's 28 to 24-. The junior Patriots suffered only one loss in league games to a strong Cleveland Heights team, thus preventing them from being the undisputed champions. The winning spirit was also evident in the winter sport season as the JV basketball team worked their way to a winning year. Coach James Riha molded his team into a unit which won many close and exciting games. For the second year in a row, the junior cagers finished near the top in the league standings. Sparked by Coach John Ruper, the JV wrestlers continued the winning success of the other junior varsity teams. Winning the majority of their matches, they were in contention for the league crown during most of the season. JV FOOTBALL TEAM BOTTOM ROW: Manager E. Moore Pete Sturdevant, J.
