Junior Dave Kencson and senior Don Caravona battled the entire season for team scoring honors. Dave Kencson finished ahead of his team mate and also placed among the top five scorers in the LEL. Some of the most exciting nights during the season were the first victory over Parma, the upset of Lakewood, and Don Caravona's school rec- ord-breaking 31 points in the Shaker Heights game fol- lowed by Dave Kencson's 34 points against Mid- park later in the season. The Patriots worked to a six game winning streak in the middle of the season to put them within reach of first place, but successive defeats by Parma and Shaw virtually eliminated the team from the title race. Although Coach John Broski lost four starting players, he expects another suc- cessful season next year with members from the winning JV teams advancing to the varsity level.
