COMMENCEMENT . . . 170 As we received our caps and gowns on our last day as high school students, we thought of the many experiences we had had during our high school careers. It did not seem possible that we had spent a full three years at Valley Forge High School and were soon to be alumni. Baccalaureate was held on May 31, and only days later in Public Auditorium we gathered together for the last time as the Class of 1964. At eight in the evening on the fifth of June, our dream of commencement became a reality. We were addressed by the administration, by the valedictorians, and by our class speaker. The choir sang HClimb Every Mountain, our class song, and together we sang our Alma-Mater. Following was that both joyous and sad moment when we received our high school diplomas. As we departed to climb the waiting stairs of the future, our last spoken words were lingering in our minds-- Always we cherish thee, Valley Forge High.
