TE CHERS ADD TO OUR GROWING HERITAGE After a two-year period of growth, Valley Forge matured into an established high school. Sophomores provided new enthusiasm, the junior class eased into another year of high school life, and the seniors established prece- dents through their inherited leadership. A deeper sense of pride, a stronger school spirit, and a greater feeling of belonging per- vaded the entire student body. Continuing the customs and traditions handed down by the for- mer graduating class, the students worked to- gether as one harmonious community, deriving strength from the bond of friendship among the classes. From this community evolved all the facets of high school life that contribute to the pleasant and lasting memories of each student. f S s A X 1 A S 1 X. o X 1. f F , , y , A 2, QS X Q . tx ' X ' 1. w s ox 5 Q P 1 . et ' I -S H is Vw Y 3 ' P X X '. N WACQUAINTANCES, NEW CLAS SES,AND NEW Early in the year, Mr. Smith interrupts his daily schedule to greet sophomores. Valley Forge High School, through class- room, laboratory, and show experiences along with extra curricular activities, strives to en- able its students to acquire knowledge and understandings, to formulate worthwhile goals, to develop a sense of inquiry, and to think for themselves. All of this is done within the frame- work of our democratic heritage and way of life. Itl is our hope that the lives of our students will be both broadened and deepened as a result of their high school career and that they will take their places as effective citizens in our country. We sincerely wish personal happiness and a most worthwhile and rewarding future for our 1964- graduating seniors. David M. Smith Principal At graduation, the seniors are assembled for the final time as a group. 6
