LT PARSLEY and ENS BROCK, our two windmill pilots, with their crew, have one of the most important and busiest jobs aboard. Unnoticed and unheralded, unless their use is suddenly needed to pull some hapless pilot or man overboard from the water, they are forever hovering by as planes take off and land, like a mother hen watching over her chicks. Most of the work, however, is routine, delivering guard mail at sea to other ships, taking photographs and trans- ferring personnel and material to and from the VALLEY FORGE. , f . - mffff-X?'r - s im s 4 K d A aa f -W I X. Where would the Navy be without all the red tape! These are the people who try to unravel as much of it as is possible fthey sayj. If you don't believe this can be a twenty-four hour a day job, just ask LCDR TROTT, the Administrative Officer. The men to the left, in the personnel oilice, will have their hands full in the near future, we hope, pro- cessing all the requests for state- side leave. Now, if you are in trouble, just see LT KRIGEL, The Legal Eagle , shown in the bottom picture with his staflf of competent aides. They guaran- tee at least two weeks PAL.
