Sthodl TIIE DEBA'1'E soruxn engaged in a total of eleven debates during the winter quarter. Of this number four were non-decision debates with lamestown, the University of North Dakota, and Ellendale, while the other seven were decision debates held at the Red River Valley Debate Tournament, Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota. In this tournament the varsity debaters, consisting of Richard Sargent, Eddie Sehodt, Lois Konshol-1, and Ruth Seeliins, won live victories out of a total of seven debates. Augustana, St. Iohns, North Dakota State College, and Ellendale were defeated by the Valley City debaters, who in turn lost to the Agricultural College and Moorhead State Teachers College.
