Besides feaching physical educafion. she also faughf healfh and safe driving fo fhe senior girls. She gave driving lessons affer school hours and direcfed G.A.A. fwice a week. She also assisfed wifh fhe hof lunch program. The girls played soffball, baskefball, badminfon, fennis, and did work in fumbling, folk dancing, and archery fhis year. Before coming here, she faughf in New Rockford where she organized fhe firsf archery feam in a Class B school in fhe sfafe. In college she maiored in physical educafion and social science wifh a minor in home economics. Wendell N. Tion Music B. A. Augsburg As head of ihe music depar'l'men'l', Mr. Tion is a valuable figure in fhe ex'I'ra curricular acfivify of Valley Cify High School. He direcied lwo classes in a cappella wor fhree periods a week, and +he concer+ choir which rehearsed af'I'er school hours. One period each day was speni wi'I'h lhe band which made many appearances ai public funclions such as baske?- ball, foofball games, civic clubs, and fhe Win+er Show. Mr. Tjon also direcied a German Band which made some ublic appearances. He gave individual band lessons io Eofh iunior and senior high school s'ruden'rs.
