L. Bohnlwfl The class of 1940 is honored to dedicate this volume of the Sheyenne to Dr. J. F. L. Bohnhoft, pastor of the Trin- ity Lutheran church, who has been president of the Board of Education for nearly thirty years. His understanding and cheerful guidance have won the love and respect ot all, he has fulfilled his oFfice with the dignity that such a position demands. Through his efforts, the scope of subiects and projects within the school have been widened, and opportunities for vocational guidance and train- ing have been increased. In order to show our sincere appreciation of his work in promoting the progress of the school, in helping to secure more modern methods of education, and providing a means for advancement into the Held of knowledge, we take this means to express that appreciation.
