Sponsored by the Sheyenne staff, the balloting is held during one of the mid-year assembly periods. The contest is unannounced, no nominations are made in advance and no campaign is carried out for any one candidate. The honor of being designated by fellow students as representative of the best in Valley City high school life is the culmination of a career of service and the reward for outstanding achievement.
