nngnsn Learning Necessary Skills Grammar, literature, writing. Mass Media, and reading are all taught in the English Department. Under the direction of Mr. R. Sjoerdsma, Mr. G. Sjoerdsma. Mrs. de Jong and the two new teachers. Mrs. Winters and Mrs. Brands. English can become a fun learning experience. Freshmen are required to take English I and II, which covers a little of each of literature, grammar, writing, and speech. Juniors and seniors may choose from a variety of classes, including Advanced Study Skills. English will prove to be very helpful to you in the future. No matter what your plans are, you will always need to know how to speak and write well.
