Carl .Tones Manager Valley Center Kansas The Senior Class of 1953 had 39 graduates, Earl Rogers making the 39th He was not with them in person, but was with them in spirit, they were sure. Under the able sponsorship of Miss Anderson, the class raised SZ, OOO in '53 for their trip to Florida. They raised close to Sl, O00 on magazine sales alone. They had picture shows, a fun night, concession stands, food sales, and their play Along Came Spring Along with the trip to Florida they had as their theme for the Reception Come with us to Florida . The auditorium was decorated with red and white streamers, a Fountain of Youth, a beach scene, and a lawn scene of Florida. Highlighting their last year at Valley Center the class won first honors at the school field day. 5
