FIRST ROW, left to right: Reid Sherwin, Al Difuntorun, Dan King, Arlin True, Allen True, Harvey Williams. SECOND ROW:Dick Morgan, Jin Owens, Bob Jacobus, Jim Owens, Doug Rhodes, Jim Herkenrath. TOP ROW: Coach Vidaurreta, John Lett, Don Odale, Sylvester Davis, Gary Newman, Tyrone Tyler. Under the competent direction of Mr. AI Vidaurreta, the Junior Varsity finished the season with a I3-win, 4-loss record. The over-all points for the season were 6lO by us, 505 by opponents. Danny King, top scorer, was voted Most Valuable Player, and along with Harvey Williams was an exceptional passer on the floor. Don Odale and Jim Owens were also out- standing players and good on rebounds. Arlin and Alan True are other fine varsity prospects. THIRD ROW: Coach Tanner, Bob McDaniels, Don Elbeck, Jim Kempton, Jim Anderson. The Sophomore Basketball team, under the able coaching of Mr. Norm Tanner, had a ll-IO record for the season. Of the IO losses, 7 were by only two points or less. Outstanding players of the season were Tobias Hawkins, who led the team in rebounds and scoring, Larkin Wade, second leading scorer, Jesse Williams, guard and good varsity pros- pect, Gary Encerti and Jim Anderson, other starters who did very well. A The team did exceptionally well the last part of the season. They were continuously good in rebounds. The fact that they finished second in the city league is another cause for high hopes for a fine varsity.
