J g g, It U 4 . 4 The Youth Problems Committee was formed earlwdggg the school year in order to better 'relations among students. After electing officers and appointing committees, the group held weekly discussion meetings. The Student Opinion Poll, a questionnaire giving students a chance to express their views on various subjects, was the result of these meetings, After the tedious and time-consuming task of tallying these surveys, the statistics were passed along to the Citizens Committee on Youth Behavior upon request. Student repres entatives met with these adult leaders in the community to co-ordinate the thinking of both groups. ln the spring semester, student speakers from the Youth Problems Committee visited various service groups and civic organizations to present brief talks on the purposes and functions of their group, the basic questions and problems among youths, and the manner in which these challenges can be met. One of the most worthwhile organizations, which often goes without recognition by students, is the Parent-Teacher Associa- tion. This year's theme has been to open doors to new frontiers for children and youth. There is much to be done to bring about a closer relationship between school and home, but through co- operating with administrators and teachers, the men and women of the P.T.A. work toward accomplishing this aim. The thanks and praise of the students of Vallejo Senior High go to this fine association.
