CHEER, CHEER, VALLE HIGH! Pep club membership includes all the girls of Valle High. Each girl supports the teams byher loyal atten- dance at the games and her lively cheers for the players. Miss Valle, Betty Jo Hoog, lead the spirited parade to Valle High School Field before the homecoming football game. Hepwithpep , the cheerleaders, pep club, alumnae, team, and floats followed close behind. Cheer for the boy who holds the ball! Mary Sexauer, Joyce Hawn, Mary A Roth, Mary Beckerman, Jean Hawn, Mary Giesler, Annette Greminger, ll Lee Jokerst, Joann Vessel, and Bonnie Buatte spark every game from start During halftime at the homecomir game, the Pep Club performed a colorful drill in which they formed a massive VALLE across the field.

High school members of the band are Walter Crawford, Joanne Herzog, Joan Hogemiller, Mary Roth, Paulette Weber, Jane Jokerst, Mary Sexauer, Judy Stoll, Marilyn Heil, Carol Meyer, Clem Donze, Jim Donze, and Betty Hurst, STRIKE UP THE BAN Preluding the Christmas concert, Mr. Leo Midget and Betty Hurst, student director, discuss the musical score before the performers arrive. 76 The fifty-seven member Valle School Band under the direction of Mr. Leo Midget per- formed at the Valle football games during the 1959-60 season. The players also ap- peared in the Homecoming Parade and the Veterans' Day Parade. The Band was featured in the Christmas con- cert with a medley of Christmas music. The group also played at Class Night. Presiding officers in the band this year were Betty Hurst, president and student directory Tom Greminger, vice-president: Joanne Herzog, secretary, and Mary Sexauer, treasurer.
