Wrestling Cheerleaders Left to Right: Julene Powers, Teri Hodziewich, Rene Goff, Colleen Cary, and Tina Mallo. The cheerleading squads were active and involved. They put on many skits and different events during the year, such as Mr. Irresistible and Bust 'Em Day. They worked hard to be together, and improved our school spirit by showing more enthusiasm. There were many joint pep assemblies as a result of the squads' ability to get along with one another. Thank you, Miss Tripp and Pep Club members, for your help in making the year one of Valier's best. The Whole Group

They were unable to compete to their ability because there were very few track meets. Even so, Roger Boggs, Carla Olson, and Corlene Arkinson placed in the Divisional Track Meet at Cascade on May 17.
