LIBRARY STAFF-AUDIO VISUAL AIDS David Goff, Robbie Vanden Bos, Carolyn Harwood, Jeanne Geiger, Ros Habets, Georgia Phillips, Anita Widhalm, Jane Getts, Colette Briden, Kathy Rittel, Sue Peterson, Deanna Rideout, Miss Powell-Adviser. NOT PICTURED: Madelyn Olson, Velda Lund, John Vanden Bos, and Jim Adamson. To help Miss Powell, several students elected to become student librarians during each period of the day. They assumed all the duties of librarians in checking out books, keeping the shelves and stacks neat, and in making sure that complete and undistrubed silence reigned in the Library. In early May, they were rewarded for their efforts with a field trip to the Great Falls Public Library, and other points of interest in Great Falls. Four students, two each semester, worked with Audio-Visual aids. They worked to run the listening booths in the library and repaired tapes and other equipment. Hey Anita, why does Jim look so guilty? During the year, they finished their several year old project of pews for the Lutheran Church. They also made a bookcase for the Lutheran Church. They used the money from these projects to take a two-day field trip. They left VHS on May 14 and returned the 16th. The trip included visiting Libby, Columbia Falls, and Eureka. PANTHER PAWS FRONT TO BACK: Mrs. Van Gorden-Adviser, Maureen Widhalm, Candy Hayne, Jeanne Geiger, Debra Bilbro, Georgia Phillips, Anita Widhalm, Velda Lund, Marie Wall, Julie Durnell, Diane Van Gorden, Jane Getts, Barb Bilbro. The year was started out with all members busy working on new uniforma and better ideas on how to carry out the coming activities. When football season started, the Panther Paws were ready with enthusiasm and gusto. This year something different was tried. The members took charge of ticket sales at the girls basketball games. Wrestling and basketball consumed most of the time and energy with such things as ushering, ticket taking, programs, and flag carrying. The annual drill meet saw the Panther Paws in full force as they helped bring about another successful meet. They rounded out the year by assisting the track program by helping to run events during track meets. Jeanne at her best. Panther Paws in action. Who's backyard party is it this time?
