FRENCH CLUB FRONT ROW: Diane Van Gorden, Dorothy Barron, John Speer. SECOND ROW: Miss Powell-Adviser, Randy Arnst, Dan Sullivan, Jeannie Nelson-Presiding Officer, Carmen Boucher. Under the guidance of Miss Powell, the French I class formed le Club de Francais de Valier High School to learn more about French culture. Before Christmas, they began work on a creche, or manger scene, for the school. Although it wasn't finished by Christmastime, it was completed in January and given to the school. They ended the year with a french-style picnic at the lake. John, the French builder. What a picnic! 'The Cereche' Parlez-vous Francais?

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY SITTING: Deb Bilbro, Janine Adams, Sanda Stark, Julie Dumell, Colette Briden, Maureen Widhalm, Agnes Widhalm. STANDING: Mr. Sindelar-Adviser, Dorothy Barron, Willie Field, Diane Van Gorden, Anita Widhalm, Marjean Majerus, Carmen Boucher. New Members FRONT ROW: Marlene Arnst, Nancy Crawford. BACK ROW: Lori Stoltz, Sheryl Anderson, Leslie Stoltz. Three who made it. The Valier Chapter of the National Honor Society began the year with 13 members. New members were installed in the early fall. They also planned a Walk-a-Thon to raise money for Boulder. Although snow canceled the walk in November, it was rescheduled for May 6. Wrhen it was held, it was a success with the walkers raising over $600. The Honor Society recieved 5 new members at the semester. The group helped as a stage crew for the PTA Talent Show in February. Boys aren't part of the break! Maureen and Marjean on walk.
