ALL NIGHT PARTY Following graduation, most of the Seniors attended the All Night Party in the Multipurpose Room. The evening began with a dance. The music was furnished by Insanities Children. After the dance, everyone but the Seniors and their guests left and those remaining viewed a movie. Then it was off to the pool to swim until it was time to go to the Odd Fellows' Hall for breakfast at 5:00 a. m.

SECOND ROW: Carmen Boucher, Diane Van Gorden, Lindy Swier, Leslie Rideout, Lora Kohles, Cindy Swier, Don Racine, Julie Heck, Marie Curry, Gwenna Briden, David Olson, Ron Sullivan. THIRD ROW: Floy Boy Chief, Carla Olson, Dan Sullivan, Robert DeBoo, Doug Vanden Bos, Glenn Wunderlich, Toni Briden, Marlene Arnst, Chuck Fitzgerald, John Bruce, Dewey Swank. FOURTH ROW: Glen Hammer, Jill Geiger, Marjean Majerus, Anita Adamson, Beverly Bull Child, David Swanson. STANDING: Director-Mr. Johnson, Frank Stokes, Randy Rideout, Don Bilbro, Derek Swank, Gary Bruce. The Valier High School Music Department was active this year. It included both vocal and instrumental groups. In the instrumental section, there was a Concert Band, a Pep Band, and a Rock Band. The Concert Band performed at the Fall and Spring Concerts, the District Music Festival, and also marched in both the Homecoming and Memorial Day Parades. The Pep Band played pop songs to support the football and basketball teams at the home games. It also accompanied the basketball team to the District 3-B Tournament. The Rock Band provided music for dances, accompanied the CaValiers , and performed for many other occasions. Several other small groups formed for the District Music Festival. There were also three soloists at the festival. The choral section of the Music Department started the year with new practicing exercises in preparation for the Christmas Concert, which featured a variety of seasonable carols. The chorus consisted of four sopranos, three altos, one tenor, and two basses. Throughout the year, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson played various accompaniments with the guitar and piano. The Wanderers were the select choral group, and this year they sang at the Pondera County Junior Miss Pageant and at the District Music Festival besides appearing at several other functions.
