Juniors Created Oriental Dreams Queen Nancy Hayne and King Ken Kovatch The Junior Class chose the theme Oriental Dreams for the Junior-Senior Prom. The New Found Joy provided the music for the evening. All of the royalty candidates were selected from the Senior class. Ken Kovatch and Nancy Hayne were chosen King and Queen. Girl's and Boy's State Delegates Tim Widhalm and Ken Kovatch were selected to go to Boy's State in Dillon. They stayed for a week and learned about our government. Jane Hammer was selected for Girl's State which was held in Helena. Tim Widhalm, Ken Kovatch, Jane Hammer Junior Miss Candidates These five girls were participants in the Pondera County Junior Miss Pageant this year. The theme of the pageant was Here Comes the Sun. Jane Hammer was chosen as Spirit of Junior Miss, by the pageant participants, for her consistency, adjustment, and friendliness during pageant rehearsals. Front Row: Jane Hammer, Roxanne DenBoer. Seniors Captured 1st Poster Contest Sophomores took 2nd Highlighted Purple-White Juniors gained 3rd 4th went to Frosh Things got rolling Saturday afternoon when the Valier matmen hosted the Shelby Coyotes. As the night progressed our Fighting Panthers battled against Shelby in a hot rough game. At half time the spot light turned to our high-stepping CaValiers. Following that, the poster winners were announced with the Seniors seizing 1st place. The evening ended by Shelby squeezing a victory over the Panthers.
