Interesting Work is Done By Library Staff The Library Staff is the group responsible for keeping order in the library, checking out books, helping people find materials, and changing the bulletin boards periodically for such things as holidays, tournaments, and National Library Week. This year in order to stress National Library Week, the librarians set up Ye Ol ' Book Shop, a used paperback book store, in the Conference Room of the library. They put up several posters for this as well as painting psychedelic designs on the windows. Last spring the librarians took a day off and went on a field trip to Lethbridge, Alberta. School Spirit is Encouraged and Emphasized by Pep Club The Pep Club began the year by selling Panther pins to encourage school spirit. Football and basketball seasons kept Pep Club members busy not only supporting the Panthers, but also selling concessions at home games. in keeping with school spirit, the Pep Club sponsored the Purple and White Day dance which concluded a day of sports activities with Browning. School and Community Are Centers ofF.H.A.Work The Future Homemakers of America is an organization which provides students with an opportunity to experience activities related to homemaking. New members were initiated at the first meeting, and Mrs. Harry Swanson and Mrs. Norman Holdren were elected FHA mothers. The chapter ' s work was centered around school and community. School projects included concessions at football games, the Hayride, the Homecoming dance, and the Christmas formal which was co- sponsored with the V- Club. A Sunday breakfast, the Co-Op Banquet, and the Senior Tea and Style Show were community projects.
