Francis J. Tidyman was more than a teacher, she was a friend to those she taught. We all knew her by the tap tap of her heels, as she passed by or her always ready, jolly laugh. When she left us the school was like a room without furniture. Her complete dedication to the school and her pupils will continue to stir the memories of those who knew her. Now she has passed from our vision but her memory will never leave our minds. The day has come; she ' s gone. No longer will her footsteps leave their tapping echo In the halls of our Alma Mater. Gone is the ringing laughter That tumbled from Her smiling lips. When she came She brought so much with her. When she went away She left even more with us. She was a teacher. No, she was More than a teacher; she was A friend. In her way, she could warm The coldest heart With her love of life. Never a day went by without Her friendly hello. Now her last good-bye Has been said. But the memories remain-- Fond, happy memories. No, she is still alive-- She lives in our hearts She is not dead-- For someone who is loved Can never die.
