Seated in his private office of New York Times is editor-in-chief Clayton Briden. Looking at the calendar he is reminded that just 20 years ago he graduated from V. H. S.; so he prints the current news of his classmates under the heading The Class of 52. Frank Kibbee is answering the call of the wild. He is operating a hot-dog stand in Browning. At Vassar, we find Jack Tidyman teaching toe dancing. Lucille Yeager and Marie Graham are well known millionaires because of their great invention --square holes in doughnuts. Beverly Eppe is an actress, co-starring with Mortimer Snerd. (Yep, that's the way she goes.) Jerry Kovatch is manufacturing tacks that people are as sharp as. Clarence Wright has just replaced Hop A'Long Cassidy in his latest production-- Hercumer Goest West. Remember Shirley Donovan? She's hunting head hunters in deep Africa with her latest invention, a streamline bean shooter. Helen Brophy is a check girl at one of the most exclusive night clubs at Williams. Bob Bruner made a fortune on his latest Freckle Bleacher. Miss Eloise Bruner is giving her regular performances at the Metropolitan Opera House. And just look who sweeps the stage and pulls the curtains, our ever faithful Jim Culleton. Ron Christiaens is the chief bouncer at the Drop Inn dance hall. No rumpuses there. A cure for Pain in the Neck, The Scourge of America, was perfected by the great surgeon, Don Haynes. The two discoverers of the Fountain of Youth Cream, the cream that never lets you down, are Eva McGrew and Charlotte Stokes, the leading beauticians of the century. Judy Holm has devoted her life to civilizing the natives of Africa. In Hollywood we find Sharon Walley, who is a famous model, and Grace Lightner, who is Charlie McCarthy’s secretary. Eileen Miller is a busy housewife on a farm outside of Valier. Remember Lois Henneman, she and her twelve children are now living in a pent-house on Dupuyer Ave. In '48 thirty-one freshmen entered V. H. S. During this year Bev Eppe was cheerleader, and Sharon Walley was queen of the Harvest Festival. As sophomores Bev was again cheerleader, and Marie Graham won a Heisey award. Our junior year was highlighted by the prom with a Moonlight and Roses theme and the junior play, Grandma’s Best Years. Bev Eppe, Shirley Donovan, and Lois Henneman led yells. Jack Tidyman and Clayton Briden went to Boys' State, and Judy Holm to Girls' State. Jack Tidyman and Judy Holm received Heisey Awards. This year Jim Culleton is the president of the student council. In May 22 of us will graduate. Members of this class have collected 11 silver footballs and 3 gold basketballs. In '49 footballs were awarded for being state runners-up, and in '50 for Hi-line championship. The gold basketballs were for the champions of Districts 11 and 12.
