We made 32310. 23 - Farewell surprise party for Ruth at Wynona's. 24 - Everyone is getting ready for homecoming. We had a pep rally tonight. 25 - We decorated the floats, had homecoming parade, game with Benton B Squad Qhereb. We lost 44 - 14. This evening we had the dance, final voting of football queen and the coronation, at 10:00 p.m., of the queen, Wynona Prosser. 26 - Homecoming carnival. What a mad house! 30 - G.A.A. had a Halloween Party. Each girl invited one guest. NOVEMBER 2 -- Game with Sesser Qtherej. We lost 52 - 0. 20 - The annual football banquet was held this evening in the gym. The football boys and cheerleaders were awarded their letters. Guests of the evening were the queen, faculty and parents of the students who attended. 21 - The first basketball game was played tonight with U-High ftherel. We lost. 23 -- Thanksgiving Holiday. 26 - Game with Sesser ftherej. We lost 46 - 33. 27 - Game with Crab Orchard Ctherel. We lost 61 - 39. 28 - Six weeks exams. 30 - Game with Bluford ftherej. We lost. There was a big sleet storm tonight. DECEMBER 4 - Game with Waltonville fherej. We won 55 - 43. 5 - Wynona Prosser, Billie Boggio, Shirley Philipak, Clyde Pierce, James Wright and Mrs. Martin went to West Frankfort to speak on the radio. 6 - Game with Royalton fherej. We Won 50-44. 11 -- Game with Attucks Cherej. We lost 85 - 57. 15 -- Game with Tamaroa Qherel. We lost 52 - 37. 17 - Christmas party in the gym. 18-21 -- Waltonville Invitational Tournament. We played Crab Orchard and lost 68 - 29. 21 - We had classes until noon. JANUARY 2 - Christmas vacation ended. 3-5 -- Valier Invitational Tournament. The Junior Class sponsored a hay-ride and each Junior invited one guest. Game with Benton Chereb. We tied 19 - 19. G.A.A. sponsored a clean up campaign to buy a new royal blue velvet robe for the queen. We made 5B59.00. Junior and Senior Day at S. I. U. in Carbondale, Illinois.-, Queen nominations began today. A Six weeks exams today. Oh what a day! End of first six weeks. Report cards came out today. Game with U-High Qtherej. We lost 19 - 13. - Everyone came to school all dressed up today to look at the birdie. Mr. Spieth came to take personal pictures. The Sopho- more class had a weiner roast. The magician came to V. C. Game with Sesser fherej. We lost 76 - 46. Sophomore skating party at DuQuoin, Mr. McMurray began teaching and coaching here today. Mr. Mitchell went to Sesser to teach agriculture. 25 -- Franklin County teachers meeting. 26 - P.T.A. Pie and Box Supper at V. C. H. S. 29 - Game with T'Ville Qherej. We lost 74 - 34. FEBRUARY 2 - Game with Tamaroa Ctherej. We lost 65 - 38. 5 - Game with Waltonville ftherel. We won 51 -40. 6 - No school this afternoon. Teachers went to Reading Clinic. 13 - Game with Royalton ftherej. We won 59 - 50. 14 - Valentine Party sponsored by the Student Council. 15 - Game with Bluford Cherel. We lost 75 - 62. 28 - Six weeks exams. Oh my aching head. 29 - End of fourth six weeks. Everybody has the flu. MARCH 2-7 -- No school this week because of the virus flu epidemic. 7 - Fellowship Quartet sang this evening and part of the proceeds went to the Annual fund. 11-12 - Class Tournaments were held. 15 - Sophomore class had a party to celebrate their winning of the tournament. Each member invited one guest. 17 - St. Patrick's Day. Not many Irishmen. 27 - Junior variety show. APRIL 9 - Six weeks exams. Senior play. 10 - End of the fifth six weeks. Report cards. 11 - Good Friday. Easter holiday begins. 15 - Easter holiday ends. 25 - G.A.A. Slumber Party. 30 - Junior Play. MAY 15 - Junior and Senior Banquet. 16 - Junior and Senior Prom. 18 -- Baccalaureate exercises. 20-21 -- Semester exams. 22 - School Trip. 28 - Move up day and Commencement exercises.
