Placentia began 118 years ago with one family and 3900 acres of land bought by Daniel Kraemer. As the years went by, the value of the land increased as a result of the highly developed citrus and other crops. Hundreds of people started moving in and Placentia began to grow. The name Placent: was suggested by Sarah .lane McFadden and 1 then voted on by the people. Many of the peo were against the name Placentia and the results the vote were 18 to 7 against Placentia.
