FFA Officers Chapter Officers President: Beth Weideman Vice President: Joel Hiatt Secretary: Tana Knudson Sentinel: Paul Linville Treasurer: Earl Anderson Reporter: Teri Rempel District Officers Vice Presidents Joel Hiatt Sentinel: Beth Weideman Treasurer: Earl Anderson In FFA this year, Vale won the Rituals Contest held at Nyssa, and in addition, Joel Hiatt won the impromptu speaking. Throughout the summer and fall, the livestock judging team won and placed high in many contests, including Blue Mountain Community Contest where Joel Hiatt placed first. At the Malheur County contest, Vale won both Dairy and Live- stock. Vale was fifth in Livestock judging and tenth high in Diary judging at the State Fair. They took a trip to Salem, Oregon. There they went to the paper mill. They also went to Newport to visit the Aqua Sea Gardens, the O.S. Marine Science, and the Undersea Gardens. Must have been some inter- esting trip!

F ufure Homemakers of America FHA Officers President: Tammy Rumpel Vice President: Kristi Reukauf Secretary: Elaine DeLong Treasurer: Cindy White Historian: Gail Gardner Sgt-at-Arms: Jean Elfering Point Keeper: Vickie Ingram Advisor: Mrs. Mabey This year FHA has a done a number of things. They had a district meeting in September at Lake Wallowa and a state meeting in Corval is Apr. 1 and 2. They also participate in the, Help Them to Hope campaign. Some girls made things to donate to it and they took a day off to collect things to donate. FHA sponsored Sadie Haw- kins and it had a Christmas party where they went skating and ate. They had FHA week Feb. 12-18, where they sold roses for Valentines's day and they had different contests. They also had a candlelight ceremony where they installed new officers and gave out awards. --..P .Q -' .1-- Donna Crummitt.
