Besides per- forming for various civic organizations, they spon- sored the Talent Show. and helped to sponsor the Nyssa Exchange. They placed in the finals of the Treasure Valley Pop. Jazz, Vocal Festival, and they hope to place in the Swing Choir Festival at Mt. Hood Community College . 4 91

lla Stage Band this year was probably one of Vale High's best ever. It added life to all of Vale's bas- ketball games and pep assemblies. Stage Band mem- bers traveled to Eugene for the State Basketball Play- offs and received a second place award for their per- formances during the tournament. Winners were: Karen Skinne first place, Glenda Keesler - second, and MaryAnn Blackbum. Tami Cockeram, and Karen Skinner, who pla third. There was also an exchange assembly in March with Nyssa. The theme was: Sodville U.S.A. Any could participate. and many did. It was a great show! There was also the Solo Ensemble. which was in Februa There was a great variety of one's in all sorts of events! Our school sure has a lot of talent in it!
