The purpose of the club was to create interest in Spanish language, food, dances, and customs, The club was sponsored by Mr. Winsor. Officers 616CICC1 were Alfonso Acevez, Presidentg Teddy Rumsey, Vice-Presidentg and, Dianne Dutson, Secretary. During the year the club sang Christmas Carols in Spanish at an assembly, on March 4, FIESTAS CARNAVALESCAS, corresponding to the Mardi Gras, was sponsored for the student bodyg and on April 14, in token of Pan American Day, an assembly was presented to the student body.
