Floyd is Cafe Brings The Valdosta State College cafeteria brought on some refreshing changes this year Although every meal eaten in the cafeteria was a new and exciting adven- ture, the additions to the cafe made it seem that much more like Moms home kitchen The new 81 item salad bar made a nice treat for all students needing an addition ofgreens to their ever-so-often meat and potatoes meals, The new salad bar also helped those students trying to lose a few extra pounds Another nice addition to the cafeteria was the banners hung from the ceiling, Though considered a waste of money by a few, the banners absorbed sound, cutting down the noise pollution produced by hundreds of hungry students. The cafeteria also had the many sponsored quarterly events that made going to eat a treat. Prime Rib night being one of the favorites with the end of the year L uau coming in a close second. The cafe helped the many late night students at the end of each quarter presenting all students with a Final Survival Kit. Other annual events recognized by the cafeteria were the turkey dinners before Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. I , bg, x .-K - v. fj Registration . . . Will It Ever End? Registration is a major event which occurs at the beginning of each quarter After being advised by an advisor the pre' vious quarter, the student enters the maze known as the Education Building. Carrying his trusted registration sched- ule, he entrusts his degree and his life to the VSC Registration students who lead him from place to place. Fortunately no student has been lost during registration, but until they find another way to register students there is still a chance, There seems to be no one main problem with registration at VSC An overload of students, winter quarter registered 5, 000 plus which caused a lot of hassle. English 7 O1 and Math 103 are limited to the students who need them mostg Freshmen and many Sophomore subjects are left to be picked over by the students who need them least - Freshmen. No matter what time a person gets for registration it is always a bad time, and those who learn the tricks early and receive good times sometimes wish they had waited for a class that opened later in the day. And for some strange reason the DropfAdd line never seems to get any smaller the first four days of class. Will Registration ever change! r W. F' -.Si --1.1.--- I A W2 1:9-v ' JG Student L ite
