This isbecause he is simply a normal person-not a revolutionary, not a super- l and X or pseudo- I intellectual, not an ex- treme liberal, and not an unyielding con- servative. He is actually a combination of all those factors that are taken for granted in a person I which is what makes him typi- cal I. But the minority groups-the long-haired , ojbeats, the pale, bespeckled brains- cannot be ignored, for they are the news- makers: they are the ones who cause older generations to declare, Them young'uns these days! Yet even these lessthan normal students are united with the more typical mass by one important thing-every student is at VS C, not especially because ofthe rah-rah, lump-in-the-throat pride in his alma mater, but rather because he is striving for a better future than he would have 1.
